Dining at the Wineries of Mendoza – Terruños at Club Tapiz

Brendan
The Global Nomad

Club Tapiz is the boutique hotel and restaurant creation of Bodega Tapiz, producer of the excellent Tapiz wines, as well as their export market-oriented Zolo line. Although Club Tapiz is the location of both the restaurant and hotel, it’s important to note that if you are looking to do a bodega tour, these are run out of the actual bodega, quite a bit farther south. If you are coming from downtown Mendoza, the restaurant is much closer—don’t make the mistake of showing up for lunch at the bodega!

Terruños restaurant is sophisticated and professional, and set in a restored colonial home surrounded by vineyards. The menu is a more creative and modern fusion than your straightforward parrillada, making for a different Mendoza dining experience—definitely in a positive way.

All in all, an excellent Maipú lunch stop indeed…or even a good overnight base for exploring closer to the vineyards.
